The PlayStation 4 has hit a meteoric 7 million consoles sold globally as of April 6, 2014, the company has confirmed.
Speaking on its official American Blog, Sony announced the thrilling news – a milestone which has taken a mere six months to achieve.
Atop of the accumulative sales, more than 20.5 million games have been sold, too – meaning on average, gaming suitors have picked up nearly three titles each to compliment their brand-spanking new systems.
‘’On behalf of the entire global team at PlayStation, I want to thank you for your unprecedented support and for making PS4 your next-generation console of choice. We couldn’t have done this without you! And please keep the feedback coming: we are listening’’, said Sony’s very own Sid Shuman.
Sony also teased news about its upcoming 1.7 firmware for PS4, which we brought to you some two days ago.
Exciting times ahead, no doubt.
