A slide from the presentation of Activision's first quarter financial results leaks the beta period for Destiny: July.
Previously, we knew that Destiny's beta would appear in the summer and on PlayStation platforms before Xbox platforms, but the timing hasn't been clear. Of course, this isn't a formal announcement, but this is from a report to investors: any changes to the outlined plan will likely be minimal.
We've seen a lot from Destiny in recent weeks, with new gameplay trailers and screenshots, dev diaries, and news that composer Martin O'Donnell of Halo fame had been fired by Bungie. From the same presentation, we see Activision expects Destiny to set a new record for pre-orders of a new IP. Word has it demand for Bungie's new shooter is outpacing demand for Ubisoft's Watch Dogs.
