Ubisoft has a massive 10 studios working on its first PS4 and Xbox One Assassin’s Creed game

Ubisoft has revealed that 10 studios are working on the next chapter in its multi-million selling Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Speaking during its latest financial report, the publishing powerhouse revealed that Assassin’s Creed Unity is being worked on by teams including Montreal, Toronto, Singapore, Quebec, Annecy, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kiev, Montpellier and Bucharest.

To put it into perspective, that’s roughly one third of Ubisoft’s worldwide output, as the company has 29 development studios established. It’s also a higher workload than the previous game, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which had seven studios working on it.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that a separate title, Assassin’s Creed Comet, will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year. While nothing official has been confirmed, Ubisoft said it will continue to support both formats for the forseeable future.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is scheduled to ship for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One later this year.
