Sony has announced that the ability to pre-load PlayStation 4 titles will commence with the launch of Destiny this fall.
The feature was previously confirmed in PS4 Firmware 1.70 last month, with gamers assuming the likes of Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein: The New Order would be the first to incorporate pre-loading.
However, this is not the case, and as such consumers will have to wait until Destiny is released to take advantage of the feature.
"Beginning with Destiny, certain pre-ordered titles can be automatically be pre-loaded prior to their release. This lets you rest easy knowing that your game will be ready for play the second its release date hits,” said the platform holder.
It added that “only titles designated as having pre-load functionality at the time of pre-order purchase can be pre-loaded.”
