Electronic Arts has revealed that cops vs robbers shooter Battlefield Hardline will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC this October.
As is usually the case with Battlefield, the high-octane shooter will hit shops a few weeks ahead of rival franchise Call of Duty, which this year takes the form of futuristic blaster Advanced Warfare, due in early November.
Hardline is in development at Visceral Games, who are best known for their work on the Dead Space franchise. The shooter eschews the military-centric template of previous Battlefields, instead focusing on Miami police officer Nick Mendoza, who finds himself embroiled in a battle between bent coppers and local criminals.
