Due for release on July 29, 2014 exclusively on PS4, The Last of Us: Remastered is receiving the final tweaks from developer Naughty Dog who says that the enhanced framerate of 60FPS feels amazing.
Via Twitter, the Naughty Dog development team have been sharing their experiences of The Last Of US: Remastered.
Anthony Newman, Combat designer at Naughty Dog, tweeted:
Ok so TLOU at 60fps is a little weird at first, but once you're used to it it feels *amazing*. Double dip is worth!— Anthony Newman (@BadData_) June 21, 2014
Kurt Margenau, Lead Game Designer of Uncharted 4, also waded in to reveal his thoughts on the updated version of The Last Of Us, tweeting:
Played some #TLOU at 60 fps tonight for the first time (60fps cutscenes and all). Transformitive. I'm a believer. Don't think I can go back.— Kurt Margenau (@kurtmargenau) June 20, 2014
The Last of Us was released for PS3 in June 2013, ran at 30FPS and was praised for its high quality graphics and gripping narrative. The Last Of Us: Remastered is expected to look even more incredible running at 1080p and 60FPS when it launches next month.
