In a case of the gift that keeps on giving Russian online retailing website ‘Videoigr.net’ has listed an ‘ultimate edition’ of Ninja Theory’s Devil May Cry reboot.
Following the listing of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 at roughly the same time, ‘Devil May Cry Ultimate’ is scheduled for launch on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a placeholder box-art and release date set for December 16, 2014.
An ultimate edition would presumably contain the game in both 1080p and 60 frames per second – a performance boost that may make gamers double-dip with the blood-addled demon series. The game would also join the ever-growing list of titles that are making the leap over to next-generation glory, titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us.
Putting our speculation hats on, both Devil May Cry and Resident Evil are published by Japanese gaming giants Capcom – a company which would presumably use the same distribution service for both titles in Russia; hence both their appearances on the website at the very same time.
Still, much like Resident Evil’s listing we’ll have to wait for official confirmation from Capcom as to whether or not both are true.
