According to a listing on the North American PlayStation Store, Capcom’s Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be released on February 17, 2015.
This is despite the fact Capcom has yet to pin a concrete release date on the survival horror title, other than a vague ‘early 2015’ window.
In addition, the PS Store also mentions a pre-order incentive known as ‘Raid Mode Stage Pack as a PlayStation Exclusive Bonus.’ Raid Mode was a wave-based mini-game featured in the original Resident Evil: Revelations, similar to the popular ‘Mercenaries’ mode.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 takes place between the events of Resi 5 and 6, and stars Claire Redfield and Moira Burton (daughter of Barry Burton) as they investigate an abandoned detention facility overrun with zombie-like adversaries known as the ‘Afflicted.’
The game will be released in episodic form via PlayStation Network and will receive a full retail release shortly afterwards. New episodes will launch on a weekly schedule, Capcom has confirmed.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is due out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
