Street Fighter V is only 20% complete

Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono has revealed that development of the upcoming PlayStation 4 and PC brawler, Street Fighter V, is only 20 percent complete, casting doubt on the game’s reported 2015 launch window.

Ono-san dropped the news while discussing the title with Famitsu magazine (via Shoryuken), though at the moment, it’s unknown if he made any comment about the game’s release date. Hopefully more details will emerge via a translation soon.

However, it’s worth pointing out that Amazon listed Street Fighter V as a 2016 title, which makes sense considering it’s still in the early stages of development.

Capcom announced the fifth entry in its venerable beat-’em-up franchise during Sony’s PlayStation Experience event earlier this month. The game is a console exclusive to PS4.
