Mass Effect Andromeda dev hints at a ‘happier’ ending for its PS4 sci-fi epic

Mass Effect: Andromeda developer BioWare has hinted the ending to its highly anticipated action-RPG will be more satisfying than that of Mass Effect 3.

Chris Wynn, Senior Development Director for the Mass Effect franchise, responded to a fan on Twitter who asked if the ending to Andromeda would be ‘happier’ than the controversial climax to ME3. In response, Wynn said, "we will do what we can!

Mass Effect 3 generated a lot of criticism from fans, who argued that the ending did not take into account the various choices players had made through the trilogy, which launched in 2007.

This ultimately lead to BioWare producing the Extended Cut DLC, a free download that fleshed out the game’s ending sequence with various new scenes and dialogue.

Mass Effect: Andromeda was formally announced during Electronic Arts’ E3 2015 press conference. The game is scheduled for release in winter 2016 for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. Check out the latest screenshots here.

BioWare previously teased that the game will include some impressive dynamic weather effects.
