Production of the fifth and final instalment in the Resident Evil movie franchise is ramping up, actress Milla Jovovich has confirmed via her Instagram account.
Jovovich, who plays zombie-slaying heroine Alice in the series, posted a shot of her getting a face cast made for the movie alongside the following post:
"Well, the moment so many of you have been waiting for is finally here where I can tell you that it’s zombie killing season for the Jovovich-Anderson clan! Here I am getting my face cast made for "resident evil: the final chapter"!! I leave to South Africa tomorrow to start prepping for the movie!"
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will see Paul W.S. Anderson return to the director’s chair once again, with Wentworth Miller (Chris Redfield) returning alongside Jovovich and Li Bingbing (Ada Wong). Further cast details have yet to be confirmed.
Launched in 2002, the Resident Evil movie franchise has grossed $915 million worldwide, making it by far the most successful video game movie series of all time.
