Sony has just come off a bumper showcase at Paris Games Week, where the console make unveiled a slew of new gams including Detroit, Tekken 7, DriveClub Bikes, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, and Gran Turismo Sport. In addition, the company also revealed the debut trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s multiplayer component, and confirmed that the online portion to Drake’s final chapter will run at 900p/60fps. PlayStation VR also got its time in the limelight during Sony’s press conference, although we’re still no closer to finding out a release date and price for the device.
PS4 has enjoyed a fantastic year so far, with the console’s sell-in figure almost reaching the 30 million mark. In fact, the console has secured such an impessive lead over its lead rival, Xbox One, that Microsoft has admitted it isn’t sure whether it can catch up to Sony. While it remains to be seen if the PS4 can catch up to the multi-million selling PS2, Sony’s flagship platform is currently tracking well ahead of the PS2 in the U.K., and is comfortably outperforming Xbox One on a monthly basis in the U.S.
