Return to Arkham includes high-definition remasters of the critically acclaimed 2009 superhero title Batman: Arkham Asylum and its 2011 follow-up, Batman: Arkham City. The bundle was originally scheduled to ship in July 2016.
Base.com has previously got form for outing the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for current-generation systems, so there’s a chance it may be onto something here. An official date has yet to be confirmed, although it has been reported the bundle may see a release in November at the earliest.
Return to Arkham is being handled by Virtuous Games as opposed to Rocksteady Studios, who are the creator of the Arkham franchise. It’s also worth noting that the collection eschews the Montreal Games-developed prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins.
Batman is also receiving a PlayStation VR makeover in Arkham VR, allowing gamers to step into the boots of the World’s Greatest Detective in a whole new adventure tailored for Sony’s upcoming virtual reality headset.
