UPDATED: 9.55pm BST: There’s still no signs of things stablisiing on the PlayStation Network. Sony’s official Network status page show multiple services offline. We’ve tried Battlefield 1, FIFA 17 and numerous other games and cannot access multiplayer games right now.
UPDATED 5.45pm BST: Even though we’re on the PSN now. We’re getting issues with licenses. Just had Rocket League multiplayer suspended due to not having a license when we do have one. Also, we’re hearing of plenty of people still not able to access the Network.
UPDATED 4.30pm BST: Services should now be up and running.
UPDATED 3.40pm BST: Some readers are reporting being able to get back onto the PSN by restarting their PS4 or PS4 console, though others are still reporting a PlayStation 4 DNS error.
UPDATED 3.30pm BST: A massive DDoS attack on DNS service provider Dyn could be the cause of the PlayStation Network problems today. Thehackernews reports that many popular websites and services have been affected. We’re currently awaiting clarification from Sony. Meanwhile, the official Ask PlayStation Twitter account has tweeted.

Reports are escalating that the PlayStation Network is currently down for many. Users are reporting are currently reporting sign-in issues, among other problems.
This comes just as we’ve come across some interesting data that compares PSN to Xbox Live down time.
The next scheduled maintenance on PSN isn’t due until October 26, so this is unplanned. Sony has updated the official PlayStation Network Service Status site to reflect the current issues, stating that it’s the PlayStation Store that is affected.
"You may have some difficulty accessing features and products in PlayStation Store," reads the message. "Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience."
PSN down with error code: NW-31250-1
The PlayStation Network service has been down a number of times over the last few months, and today many users are seeing error code: NW-31250-1, which refers to an internal server error.
