Rumors are floating around about the possibility of a reboot of Capcom’s Dino Crisis, however after a recent interview with the Daily Star, there are still no plans for a Dino Crisis remake.
Masachika Kawata, who worked on all three Dino Crisis games, stated that he had “hope in [his] heart” but was not aware of any plans. He continued, “I think if you were to create Dino Crisis with modern gaming technology it would be a really exciting prospect.”
This is similar to what Tao Weishi’s suggested last year about reviving the series. He mentioned that the series would “fall in line nicely with [Capcom’s] current strategy when it comes to remasters.”
On the bright side, Yoshinoro Ono revealed that an Onimusha reboot has been discussed at Capcom but unfortunately it’s only in the “discussion phase.”
