Konami has finally lifted the iron curtain off the next Pro Evo title with the promise that it'll be "the closest simulation of real football to date." After that bold statement, we heard about the new AI system.

Teamvision, an accurate simulation of real soccer strategy, will be making its debut in Pro Evo 2008 (working title). Opposing computer teams will learn from a human players strategies and accurately adapt. This new AI system forces players to themselves adapt, with it now being necessary to use every trick and strategy within their arsenal to combat some of the tougher clubs.

Konami dubs this system "a revolution in player artificial intelligence."

Onto other changes in Pro Evo 2008, this newest installment is set to offer greater control over every situation possible. For example, you can change the amount of players in your wall when defending against a free-kick. Also, the title will obviously offer improved graphics, with Konami promising a true next-gen experience (when will it start being current-gen?). No comments have been made yet regarding offline modes or online play.

"We have taken a long hard look at what has made the Pro Evolution Soccer series so popular, and where we want to take it next," stated Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, creator of the PES and Producer of Pro Evo 2008. "With the new Teamvision AI system, we truly believe that we have elevated the game to a new level. The movement of players off the ball, coupled with the total control given to the player, creates the closest simulation of real football to date. We really hope everyone enjoys our evolution. I promise it will be worth the wait."
