Riddick films go Blu

Universal Studios Home Entertainment is slowly but surely bringing its redundant HD DVD catalog over to Sony’s successful Blu-ray format. On March 31, Universal will release the Riddick films, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, on Blu-ray with 1080p VC-1 video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks. These were highly regarded as two of the most technically impressive HD DVD releases, so hopefully their transition to Blu-ray will be up to snuff.
