Red and blue DualShock 3 pads coming to North America

Engadget reports that Sony is planning on releasing both the 'Deep Red' and 'Metallic Blue' PlayStation 3 controllers in North America some time this October. No word on a price yet, though you can check out a shot of the new DualShock 3 pads below.

Unfortunately, there’s no sign of any plans to release the snazzy peripherals in Europe, though we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
