Latest PlayStation hardware figures from Japan

Media Create figures for the week ended July 22nd reveal that PlayStation Portable is continuing to remain the most popular of Sony’s consoles among Japanese consumers, though sales of the system, as well as both PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 are down from the previous week.

Sony’s handheld sold a total of 32,894 units, down from last week’s 37,578, with PS2 and PS3 selling a reported 14,059 (down from 15,777) and 12,187 (down from 13,493) units, respectively.
