Whispers on the contents of this week’s Famitsu magazine have turned up info on a new Capcom compilation known as the Resident Evil Revival Selection HD Remastered Version.
Apparently, the magazine’s contents section gives mention to a four-page spread dedicated to the new bundle, which consists of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X and Resident Evil 4. The compilation will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Further reports note that the version of RE4 included on the port will be based on the PS2/Wii release of the horror blaster, and as such will feature all associated bonus content .
No word yet on whether Code: Veronica X will offer any extra goodies in comparison to the original release, but we’ll have to wait and see.
For those who aren’t too familiar with the series, Code: Veronica was first released back in 2000 on the Dreamcast, before making the transition to PlayStation 2 the following year under the moniker of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. This particular version featured all-new cut scenes fleshing out blonde baddie Albert Wesker’s involvement in the plot.
Resident Evil 4, meanwhile, released as a GameCube exclusive in January 2005 before Capcom decided to port it to PS2 later that year with a heap of additional content. The game eventually showed up on Wii, PC and iPhone.
