GTA IV sales estimates are too low, says Feder

Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, has stated that he feels analyst sales forecasts for Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV are too low.

Feder’s comments come following a number of predictions set by analysts in recent months, with Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter in particular having forecast sales of nine million in the current fiscal year, with Take-Two shipping six million copies to retail to meet consumer demand.

However, speaking to Reuters, Feder commented, "Our expectations are very high, higher than analysts give the game credit for.”

"All the analysts had a (sales) number, give or take, and I think we will be on the upside of that rather than the downside."

Grand Theft Auto IV is released worldwide on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 today. Stay tuned for our review shortly.
