According to a Sony Computer Entertainment listing handily translated by Siliconera, PlayStation Portable thrash-em-up Dissidia: Final Fantasy will be made available as a PlayStation Network download when the UMD version hits Japan on December 18.
That’s right — via the divine instrument of regional account falsification, you could soon own a digital copy of the only fighting game in the world which lets you smack Cloud Strife around with Squall Leonhart’s gunblade. Try not to dribble all over your keyboard.
Sony has already announced that all future first party PSP releases — a list which includes such smoking hot talent as Loco Roco 2 and Patapon 2 — will get the dual-publication treatment. According to VG247, the downloadables may even be a tad cheaper than their solid state counterparts.
There’s still no word as to whether the European and North American PSNs will follow suit.
