Final Fantasy XV is likely to be the most expensive Square Enix project to date, according to an unofficial twitter source.

Originally announced back in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the action-RPG has experienced an arduous development cycle, making sporadic trade show appearances over the years. However, last year during Sony’s E3 press conference the game was re-revealed as Final Fantasy XV.
Due out on PS4 and Xbox One, FFXV has yet to attract a release date, though Square Enix recently revealed that the game is already quite far into development.
The studio also confirmed it intends to continue FFXV’s storyline via sequels.
