Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV has shipped 22 million copies globally since its launch in April 2008.
Zelnick dropped the news during his talk at ThinkEquity’s annual Growth conference (via IndustryGamers), where he also revealed that the GTA franchise has shipped a whopping 114 million units worldwide.
In addition, the executive also confirmed that Red Dead Redemption has shipped 12.5 million units worldwide, while the BioShock series has shipped 9 million copies since its inception in 2007.
Midnight Club, meanwhile, has shipped 18.5 million units globally, while Civilization has shipped 11 million.
Bringing up the rear is the Max Payne franchise, which has shipped 7.5 million units to date, followed by Mafia at 5 million.
Finally, The Darkness has shipped 1 million units worldwide, with a sequel currently in the works for a 2012 launch.
