New James Bond game coming this year

Activision’s confirmed that it’ll launch a new James Bond videogame later this year.

The news comes following the publishing behemoth’s Q1 2011 earnings call yesterday, where the firm revealed the spy outing will release in Q3/Q4 of this year.

Sadly that’s about all we know right now, with Activision neglecting to divulge any specific information on the project.

Rumors on a new Bond outing have been doing the rounds for some time now, with the latest gossip suggesting the game is being coded by Raven Software.

A report back in February claimed the studio had been beavering away on a new game featuring the British secret agent for the past two years, though Raven allegedly put the game on ice in early 2010 so it could help out with Call of Duty map packs.

The latest James Bond flick is currently in production and will hit cinema screens in November 2012.
