Bioware has reported that Mass Effect 3 will not only be available as a digital download on the PlayStation Network day one, but those who choose to pre-order the game on Sony’s network will receive a few extra goodies to boot.
First off, those who pre-order the game before release (March 6) will be rewarded with an in game weapon: the M55 Argus rifle. Curious as to what that even is exactly? Bioware describes it as such:
“The Argus is a high-powered rifle and an excellent close-range weapon. Its bursts of fire ensure ammunition conservation during lengthy conflicts. Law-enforcement agencies across the Mass Effect galaxy are adopting the Argus as their standard rifle, as much for its intimidation factor as its suppression power.”
But that’s not all you download-crazy PSN users will receive; BioWare and Sony have created a Mass Effect 3 PS3 theme available exclusively to those who pre-order from PSN.
I know a lot of you are waiting for Mass Effect 3, but how many of you will actually be downloading this one instead of buying it at retail? If not, you can always spend money on buying Mass Effect armor for your PS3. Just saying.
