Volition Inc. is already beavering away on a follow-up to Saints Row: The Third, according to a listing on a LinkedIn profile.
Spotted by Superannuation, the profile, which belongs to Volition’s David Payne, lists Saints Row 4 for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
Elsewhere, another developer profile lists various roles for PS3, PC and 360 in addition to “the mysterious next generation of consoles.” Three unannounced games crop up in the profile, one of which we assume to be Saints Row 4.
Of course, Volition isn’t quite done with Saints Row: The Third just yet, with the developer recently announcing the standalone expansion pack Enter the Dominatrix for release this summer.
Regarding the fourth game, this isn’t the first time we’ve actually heard about the sequel. Back when The Third launched in fall 2011, THQ’s Danny Bilson all but confirmed a sequel was in development, even going so far as to say he’s got a good picture in his head as to what it’ll look like.
To date, Saints Row: The Third has shipped just north of 4.25 million copies globally, with the series itself shipping over 11 million units.
