Sony confirms TGS presser for September 14

Sony will host its Tokyo Game Show press conference on Wednesday, September 14, the electronics giant confirmed today.

This puts the press conference a day before Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Worldwide Studios, is to issue this year’s TGS keynote event.

It’s here that Yoshida is expected to drop full details pertaining to the PlayStation Vita’s Japanese launch, as well as offering a few scraps of info regarding the device’s western release early next year.

Sony will be lifting the lid on 18 previously-unannounced Vita titles at the Tokyo-based shindig, so expect the firm’s presser to be fairly heavy on the software front. Of course, PS3 and PSP will still get a look in too, with plenty of titles on offer for both systems.

Sony will also be offering a live stream of the press conference if you’re interested in watching the action as it unfolds.
