Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has booted Battlefield 3 off the top of the U.K. All Format charts following its launch on November 8, taking the no.1 crown in the process.
The military shooter moved just south of two million units in its first five days, generating £83.1 million in revenue. Despite this, first day sales were down by 1.5 percent in comparison to last year’s Black Ops, though revenue spiked by 1.6 percent.
ChartTrack notes the period November 6 – 12 was the biggest in the U.K. to date, pulling in an eye-watering £120.8 million.
Elsewhere, fantasy RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim enters at number two, shoving Battlefield 3 down to third place. FIFA 12 moves to four while Just Dance 3 sits at five.
