MCV is reporting (via an anonymous retail source) that sales of Sony’s PlayStation 3 console have spiked by a whopping 65 percent in the U.K. on the back of last week’s price cut.
Sony announced the price drop, which applies to both the 160GB and 320GB SKU, during its Gamescom press conference on the evening of August 16.
The news follows last week’s confirmation that U.S. sales for PS3 have seen a significant boost as a result of the cuts.
