Sega has confirmed that it is not working on localization for Valkyria Chronicles III, meaning we will not see it stateside anytime soon. Speaking with Gamespot, Sega console Sales Manager Hiroshi Seno said the company is not planning on bringing the third entry in the series to the West.
Perhaps the biggest reason is the relatively poor performance of the PSP in the West. Valkyria Chronicles II low sales in North America and Europe was also cited as a reason to hold off on localization.
We could, however, see a downloadable Vita release in the future. The game was quite successful in Japan, selling 102,779 units in its debut week last January.
