Just a quick heads-up to everyone who managed to get a beta key for the free-to-play MMO shooter, Dust 514, that the second beta weekend kicks off today, Wednesday 4th July, that’s a day earlier than expected.
The servers will be open until Monday and will include a brand new map. Dust 514 is one of the most ambitious projects that we’ve ever seen on PS3. At first glance, it looks like your usual team-based shooter, but it’s totally integrated with the Eve Online universe, meaning you meet up, join forces with, or war against PC players. Your actions in the game have a massive impact on the whole universe.
We’ve only just scratched the surface of the character progression model, which gives you access to level-based weapons, vehicles, augmentations and skills. We get the impression CCP Games is slowly introducing us to the game in the beta and letting us get used to all the features. We can’t wait to see how Dust 514 progresses. We’re gagged at the moment to talk too much about the beta, but we’re bursting to let you know all about it.
