Hotly-anticipated shoot-‘em-up Battlefield 4 will be released on October 29, if a post by Microsoft is to be believed.
Spotted by eagle-eyed snoopers on NeoGAF, the release date was posted on the Xbox forums, before being hastily removed by the Big M.
However, users managed to take a snapshot before it was edited, revealing an October 29 launch.
Battlefield 4 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, with publisher Electronic Arts having so far only committed to ‘Fall 2013’ release date.
It’s worth remembering that the game’s predecessor, Battlefield 3, was released in October 2011, so the rumored launch date for the follow-up would certainly match EA’s schedule.
