Flower is coming to PS Vita, playable at E3 2013

Over the years, developer thatgamecompany has graced the PlayStation Network with such wondrous and innovative titles as fl0w and Journey. The streak of success will continue with IndieCade at E3 2013, which will include thatgamecompany’s latest–a PS Vita port of Flower.

The announcement came today via press release. Flower, released initially on the PlayStation Network in 2009, is an excellent illustration of how less is more. Players, assuming the role of the wind, are tasked with guiding a lone flower pedal through the air, creating a variety of beautiful patterns and colors in the process. The game received mixed reviews from both the press and gamers alike, fostering an experience unlike the common grind of complex, volatile shooters and action titles.

When Flower will be making its way to PS Vita is still unknown, but more is likely to be confirmed at E3. We’ll be going hands-on with Flower Vita at E3, so stay glued to PSU.com and hit up our community forums to discuss all PlayStation-related topics with like-minded gamers.
