Another classic Sony IP could be getting the HD treatment

Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for bringing high-definition remakes of classic PlayStation franchises to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, has indicated another series is due to get a HD makeover.

That’s at least according to a job ad posted by the developer for a senior graphics programmer, which reads: “We are currently bringing a Sony classic to current game systems.”

Bluepoint has been responsible for some of the most successful HD Collections to date, including God of War, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus, and Metal Gear Solid.

In addition, the company also had a hand in the creation of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, having developed the game engine for the PS3/PS Vita brawler.

No indication was given as to what format we can expect this new project to materialize on, though with PS4, PS3 and PS Vita all possible candidates, it looks like we’re going to be spoilt for choice.

We’ll be sure to bring you more information as we get it.
