Sony is confident that it will not experience the same sort of losses with the PlayStation 4 that the PlayStation 3 suffered.
Bloomberg reports that SCE CEO Andrew House told investors last week that he doesn’t expect that PS4 will reach losses of up to $3 billion, reportedly the figure that Sony lost on the PS3.
“We will not generate anything like the losses we did for the PlayStation 3,” House said during a call to investers.
Sony is still expecting a loss this year as money for production and parts for the PlayStation 4 are taken into account.
The PlayStation 4 launches this holiday season and is expected to sell out leaving some consumers having to wait until the new year while more units are produced.
