GTA V multiplayer: the unanswered questions

Here at PSU, we have been blown away by today’s Grand Theft Auto V reveal, but it has also left us with so many questions that we are dying to know the answer to.

How many game modes are available? What are they?

How does the ranking system work?

Do you have your own, persistent world that other people join?

Are activities set up dynamically, joining players between worlds, like Burnout: Paradise or Journey?

What mechanic bridges the gap between friends? How do friends decide to join your world, and vice versa?

Answered! You can contact friends via the in-game smartphone to alert them that you need their help, want to play a game mode, etc. Presumably, dialing a friend via the smartphone connects you for voice chat, as well.

Does buying property and making story progression only affect your world, or are repercussions felt for others?

What does "reputation" mean?

Can we play split-screen with friends?

Will there be a free-roam mode, separate from the hustle and bustle of dynamic activities?

At what point will extravagant vehicles like fighter jets be available?

How many properties can we own? What are the different types?

Is there any place to live or store vehicles if you haven’t purchased a penthouse or other property?

How many cars can we keep in a purchased garage?

Can we fire weapons during races?

What is the highest player rank?

Are there online Trophies?

Will some Trophies be tied to content creation?

Does the content creator let you deform terrain, place objects, and do more than simply alter checkpoints and weapon placements?
