GTA V PS3 available on Monday for PSN preload

Sony has set tempers alight throughout the PlayStation community today after confirming Grand Theft Auto V will be available to preload on the PlayStation Network on September 16.

Writing on the official PlayStation forum, an online support coordinator for the platform holder said: “I can confirm that GTA C will be available to pre-download on Monday, the 16th September.”

“I will try to find out why the date has changed but it’s confirmed that the pre-download will be on the 16th.”

The game was originally planned to be available for preload access today – prompting some frustrated comments from PS3 owners.

"Thanks for TAKING as [sic] for FOOLS!!! You said on the 13th WE WANT IT ON THE 13TH. Most of us preordered from PSN because we could preload it on the 13th," said one user. "I didn’t top up my account with 50pounds just so you can SCAM ME! I want my money BACK!"

A second angry gamer added: "First time pre-ordering digitally and the last time. What a *****ing shambles Sony. No point in asking for the £50 back from my wallet I guess. Thats the part of the deal you will hold up – no refunds."

GTA V weighs in at 18GB, and as such is likely to take a fair amount of time to download, especially for those with slower internet connections. Understandably, users are miffed that they won’t be able to grab the game in time for the midnight launch on September 17.
