TechRadar (via GamingBolt) is reporting that Sony’s planned VR headset for PlayStation platforms will be unveiled for the first time at GDC next month.
According to an unnamed source, Sony has been testing the device behind closed doors, adding that, “the quality and resolution are really, really good. People will definitely be impressed with what Sony’s built.”
Rumors have circulated on a PlayStation-specific VR headset for a while now after patents were filled some time ago. However, Sony has been reluctant to go into any official details on the matter.
GDC kicks off on March 17, and will also play host to a special talk on Shenmue by SEGA’s legendary Yu Suzuki, translated by Mark Cerny.
