Mega64’s hilarious Kutaragi’s Way video reimagines PlayStation’s creation as an 80s pulp action movie

In honor of "Father of the PlayStation" Ken Kutaragi receiving the 2014 GDC Lifetime Achievement award last week, gaming sketch comedy group Mega64 created the hilarious Kutaragi Way, a video detailing PlayStation’s rise as an over-the-top, violent 80s action flick. Plus, they even got Ken Kutaragi himself to be in it.

The exaggerated retelling portrays Kutaragi as a hard-boiled renegade in the gaming industry who must fight off the goons of Nintendo to make the PlayStation…and save his kidnapped girlfriend.

Be advised: the video is NSFW for explosive violence and gore that takes us back to the decade when action movies weren’t shooting for a PG-13 rating, like its remakes might (I’m looking at you RoboCop). Kick back and enjoy the 80s cheese below:
