007 First Light Actor Praises Patrick Gibson Performance, Suggests He Should Be Considered For The Next Bond Movie

007 First Light actor Lennie James has heaped praise on co-star Patrick Gibson, who portrays James Bond in IO Interactive’s upcoming spy adventure, stating he should be in the running for the next Bond movie.

The people in control would be mad not to consider him.”

Amazon apparently wants an actor under the age of 30 to play Bond for the next film, and in response to this fact — considering Gibson’s Bond is a younger version of the character — James stated, “I think it’s entirely possible and that would be my hope.”

007 First Light is slated to launch on May 27, 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving at a later date. 007 First Light is billed as an origins story for the franchise, and follows a 26-year-old Bond as an inexperienced MI6 agent embarking on a mission that will grant him his 00 Status. In addition a younger 007, the game also features new incarnations of classic characters including M, Q, and Miss Moneypenny,
