Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that 007 First Light will be receiving a special branded DualSense controller, with preorders opening on April 17, 2026.
This limited edition version of the PS5’s controller includes a golden sheen and radiant barrel design, complete with the iconic James Bond 007 logo on the touchpad. Speaking in a statement issued on the PlayStation Store, 007 First Light’s Franchise Art Director, Rasmus Poulsen, commented:
With this 007 First Light controller, we saw an opportunity to welcome James Bond back to gaming after more than 13 years in a way that felt instantly iconic. The golden finish pays tribute to the elegance, legacy, and timeless style of the franchise, while the barrel-inspired detailing reflects the themes of the game and how it feels to play it, as well as being a nod to one of pop culture’s most recognizable visual signatures. Every element of the DualSense design was crafted as a celebration of Bond’s return, blending legacy and modernity to create a controller that feels unmistakably 007 from the moment you see it.
The 007 First Light Limited Edition DualSense will be available for $84.99/£74.99 in limited quantities worldwide, and will launch alongside 007 First Light on May 27, 2026.
007 First Light is an origins story that takes inspiration from both the James Bond movies and the novels penned by Ian Fleming. As such, the game follows a 26-year-old James Bond, played by Patrick Gibson, who is serving as an inexperienced MI6 agent, who is on a mission to earn his 00 status. The game will feature a number of iconic characters from the series, including M, Q, and Miss Moneypenny, while gameplay is a combination of stealth and gunplay, channelling Bond’s unique skillset.
