Ninja Theory: Don’t expect a sequel to Enslaved

The giant escort-style quest game, known as Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, is not getting a sequel, Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades said in the recent issue of Edge (via CVG). The game didn’t manage to draw the audience, despite its praise from critics, including PSU.

But the studio is looking to its time with Devil May Cry as “another chance.” Antoniades said Enslaved should have done better, and the studio should be working on a sequel, perfecting the franchise. The studio planned to expand to two teams, but it will now remain a “smaller shop,” he says. Adding, “But now we get another chance with DMC.”

If you played Enslaved, would you have liked a sequel, or are you content to see how the studio handles Devil May Cry?
