The lead producer on The Witcher franchise has said there are no plans to release an enhanced version of The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Speaking during an interview with GameZone (via GamePur), Piotr Krzywonosiuk made it clear that the team is entirely focused on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the time being, and after that, CyberPunk 2077.
"All of our focus is on [The Witcher 3] Wild Hunt,” said Krzywonosiuk. "And then we have some other things going on, one of them being Cyberpunk. So I don’t think it’s in the plans."
The Witcher 3 is scheduled to ship in February 2015 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The game is set to be the final chapter in Geralt story arc, and takes place in a lush, fantasy landscape that is around 20 per cent larger than that of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim’s game world.
Following its appearance at E3 last week, Wild Hunt impressed us so much that it scooped our reward for Best RPG, which you can read here.
