Freddy Krueger actor lends voice of Ruvik in The Evil Within

Bethesda has confirmed the voice cast for its upcoming survival horror game The Evil Within, which includes Jackie Earle Haley who played Freddy Krueger in the 2010 remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street".

Haley voices the main antagonist, Ruvik, while Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) voices Sebastian Castellanos, the game’s lead protagonist. Other voice actors include Jennifer Carpenter ("Dexter," “Quarantine,” “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”).

"One of the most crucial elements to any successful survival horror game is the setting and sound, which includes the depth and authenticity of the voice acting," said creator Shinji Mikami. "We brought together a great cast of experienced actors to help ensure that players really believe our characters’ emotions and the tension they feel in every scene."

The Evil Within launches in Europe on October 17 and North America on October 14, 2014. If you can stomach it, check out this 60 minute gameplay demo of The Evil Within.
