DRIVECLUB patch 1.03 reduces server load but still no sign of PS Plus Edition

With connectivity issues clouding the launch of the PS4 exclusive racer DRIVECLUB, drivers have been waiting eagerly for Sony and Evolution Studios to deploy a fix.

The good news is that patch (v 1.03) is being rolled out today implementing a number of fixes, including steps to reduce server load so that users can get online. What he doesn’t say is whether it will immediately fix the issue.

Game Director Paul Rustchynsky confirmed the launch of the patch via his Twitter account where he wrote:

Patch notes were later Tweeted by DRIVECLUB player Richard Jenkins who took the following screengrab confirming some of the changes. In another Tweet, Rustchynsky  also stated that the team will be looking into collision penalty issues soon.

There’s still no word on the delayed launch of the DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition, which is free to those who subscribe to Sony’s PlayStation Network service.
