At the Final Fantasy XIV fan festival this weekend in London more details about the new expansion for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn were revealed.
Named Heavensward, the expansion will launch next spring and will include new mounts, new beast tribes and primals and a new job in the form of the Dark Knight.
Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida took to the stage at the event to showcase the floating lands that players will be able to explore in Heavensward via the likes of flying black chocobos and single-rider airships.
The two new beast tribes were announced as the Vanu Vanu and the Gnath, as well as their primals, Bismarck, and Ravana, respectively.
The Dark Knight was revealed as a tank-based role that utilises darkness-based actions and can wield a two-handed greatsword. Further information about Heavensward will be revealed at the final Fan Festival event which takes place in Tokyo on December 20-21, 2014.
