God of War 3 is being remastered for the PlayStation 4, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced.
Due out on July 14, 2015, the remastered action-adventure title will run at 60fps and displays a resolution of 1080p—a significant upgrade from the original PS3 release.
The announcement comes as part of Sony’s 10th anniversary celebrations for the God of War series, which launched way back in spring 2005.
In addition to featuring all available content included in the original game, God of War 3 Remastered will also feature a new photo mode, which contains a "wealth of creative camera and lighting options, allowing them to freeze, edit, and share photos of all of Kratos’ bloodthirsty exploits."
God of War 3 Remastered features four times the texture resolution of the PS3 version, Sony added. The game will cost $39.99.
