Bungie has confirmed it will finally announce the release date for Destiny’s House of Wolves DLC this month.
The former Halo developer also confirmed during its latest update that it intends on improving boss encounters in Raids going forward.
Said Bungie’s Sean Chan, “For example, we had a bug where players weren’t doing damage to Minotaurs with the Relic shield. Turns out that the complicated hit test we use to detect a melee hit just missed the combatant because of the long-legged shape of its body. Some of these bugs were truly baffling, but we dug deep and went to great lengths to improve things.”
In addition, the studio also wants to improve difficulty for Strikes, noting that some missions are harder to complete than others. It also aims to tweak boss behaviour, though didn’t elaborate any further on this matter.
It did, however, give an example of a Strike that has seen the least number of completions among Guardians, namely the Cerberus Vae III Strike on Mars. To improve its appeal, Bungie aims to reduce enemies’ strength as well as tone down the final boss’s health.
Lastly, Bungie confirmed plans to address players who are idle/AFK during Strikes and Crucible matches, by restricting matchmaking for the most ‘toxic’ players.
