Assassin’s Creed creator’s new game to be announced tomorrow?

The creator behind the original Assassin’s Creed game looks set to unveil his latest project during a keynote at Croatia’s Reboot Develop event tomorrow.

Patrice Desilets, who now fronts Panache Digital, hinted at the reveal on his personal Twitter account, where commented: "Right now in Munich, between two planes, jet lag, putting final touch on my presentation for #RebootDevelop..."

When Kevin Dent, a video game executive, replied with "Will it involve the words ‘and my next project will be…..’," Desilets offered, "there’s a good chance, yes…"

The keynote is scheduled for 10.00 am tomorrow and will be titled 15+ years of AAA game development: what now?.’

The Assassin’s Creed II creative director worked at Ubisoft for many years on a number of projects, including Prince of Persia and Disney’s Donald Duck. He left the French publishing giant in June 2010.

In summer 2011, Desilets returned to the games industry where he was attached to a project known as 1666 at THQ Montreal. Following the publisher’s demise in early 2013, the game was picked up by Ubisoft, where Desilets continued to work on the title until he was "terminated" by the company in May of that year.
